It's almost closedown time again!
The 2018/19 closedown packs for Kent schools were sent out on 29 January 2019. Please note the following changes to previous years:
Any bank statements required, as part of the 2018/19 closedown process, for Kent Schools in the NatWest corporate scheme will be e-mailed out w/c 18 March 2019.
Make sure you have provided us with the correct e-mail address for the finance contact at your school.
Any schools not in the corporate scheme or who have access to NatWest Bankline will not receive a separate closedown bank statement.
Closedown forms will be available on KELSI and also in the Help & User Guidance section for BPS users at the time.

Note: the funding update will not be provided at the budget setting courses as per previous years
SFS Training Vacancy
Schools Financial Services are currently advertising for a KR9 Senior Training Officer Post on the kent.gov.uk website.
The job reference number is 19000381 and has a closing date of 18 February 2019 at midnight.

The Schools Financial Services training courses for Summer 2019 are now online.

Capital Funding
The additional capital funding due to Kent and Medway Schools as well as academies will be paid before the end of February.
There are tables on the DfE website which show each schools allocation.
Visit www.gov.uk and search for additional capital funding.

Funding Webinar
In addition to the Finance Information Groups (FIGs) in March, the funding update for 2019/20 will also be available online.

Teachers Pension
Don't forget the consultation regarding the proposed increase to teachers pension scheme employer contributions closes on 12 February 2019.
Updates on this will follow in future newsletters once more information is available.
Post Office Banking
Schools that use the Post Office for their banking should not contact the NatWest Corporate Service Centre to order stationery items.
Instead schools should order/collect these directly from the Post Office who have a stock of these items for their use.
