Spotlight on training

Threads of Success has a wide range of over 95 training courses, dedicated to support you in your work to improve the opportunities and life chances for children, young people and families in Kent.
In order to ensure you are aware of the breadth of our offer, we have created a ‘spotlight on’ blog, which focusses on one or two group training courses that could further enrich your practice, the practice of your whole setting or that of collaboration members.  We hope this monthly ‘spotlight on’ communication truly shines a light on some areas of training that would benefit you and the children in your care.

Den Building (half day)

This practical hands-on workshop explores the benefits of den making to nurture young children’s creativity and imagination. You will:

  • reflect on the potential of den making in promoting young children’s creativity and imagination
  • experience, develop ideas, be creative and practice skills in den building
  • explore suitable materials for den making
  • identify the role of how you can support children’s den making.

*The maximum number of delegates for group training is restricted to 20.

The prices for the above group training opportunities, within Kent, are £210 +VAT.

Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud! (half day)

This hands-on workshop will take place outside and as the name suggests this will get messy!  You will need to dress appropriately. The workshop will explore the benefits of mud play, including mud kitchens, on children's learning and development.  During the session you will discover the potential of mud and identify how it supports the characteristics of effective learning as well as securing your own skills in mud play.

*The maximum number of delegates for group training is restricted to 20.

The prices for the above group training opportunities, within Kent, are £210 +VAT.
