Are these modules for me?
Aimed at all primary based staff, these courses have been developed to boost teacher/staff confidence and subject knowledge when teaching pupils about religious education.
Ofsted (2021) found that there was "insufficient development of RE practitioners to address gaps in professional subject knowledge." The modules will aide anyone in school who wants to know more about specific religious views to support in the classroom.
What should I expect?
You will receive access to each individual Essential RE Knowledge E-learning module. Each module takes approximately one hour to complete, and covers the key aspects of the religion or world view. The modules are interactive with useful video clips that can then be utilised in the classroom to improve the quality of delivery and engagement in lessons.
What will pupils gain?
On completion of these Essential RE Knowledge E-learning modules, teachers/staff will have a greater knowledge of religious education and in turn their pupils will access a broader, more balanced and accurate RE curriculum.
