Brief Overview

Supporting every pupil to succeed academically is a significant challenge for teachers and teaching assistants. The EEF’s research evidence suggests there is a set of five core practices that can support all pupils, including those with SEND, to do just that.

This course forms part of 'A Spotlight On…the 'Five-A-Day' series inspired by the EEF's guidance report ‘Special Educational Needs in Mainstream Schools’. This next session in the series will explore the principle, 'Using Technology'. It will look at the latest available research and unpick how to practically plan for each integral aspect so these can be used daily and flexibly in response to individual needs, integrating them as the starting point for teaching and supporting all pupils, including those with SEND.

Throughout the series, participants will develop a deep understanding of how to use and apply this set of evidence-informed teaching habits that feel manageable in reality and which specifically impact on the academic progress for all pupils, including those with SEND.
