DSL Briefing: KCSIE 2024 - Update for DSLs

Brief Overview

The Education Safeguarding Service recognise the benefit of interaction and networking for DSLs to share knowledge, examples of good practice and reflect on key topics. We will be running a series of up to six one-hour DSL briefing twilight sessions (4pm to 5pm) throughout the year.

Members of the 'Safeguarding Support Package for Schools' receive one free place per school on each briefing.

This session will include either a live or pre-recorded input with time for live questions with the Education Safeguarding service.

Learning Outcomes

  • To cover the key updates to Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024, in place from 1st September 2024.
  • To signpost delegates to useful resources and organisations to support DSLs in implementing updates.
  • To highlight other updates to national legislation and/or guidance applicable to DSLs in schools/colleges.
