Brief Overview

The Education Safeguarding Service recognise the benefit of interaction and networking for DSLs to share knowledge, examples of good practice and reflect on key topics. We will be running a series of up to six one-hour DSL briefing twilight sessions (4pm to 5pm) throughout the year.

Members of the 'Safeguarding Support Package for Schools' receive one free place per school on each briefing.

This session will include either a live or pre-recorded input with time for live questions with the Education Safeguarding service.

Learning Outcomes

  • To explore the key statutory requirements in relation to low level concerns as outlined by KCSIE 2023.
  • To consider ways for DSLs to implement and evidence a safe culture in their school/college.
  • To explore examples of recommended practice with regards to staff training, policies and practice in schools and colleges.
