Governance Conference

Brief Overview

If your school is a current subscriber to the Governor Services Training Package, please book a place via your GovernorHub account. 

We have listened to your feedback and as a result we are pleased to advise that this year’s conference will be a face to face conference and for all to attend to allow all those involved in governance to hear the same messages and have an opportunity to share good practice and network. 

We will be covering key points that have been raised over the year including:

• compliance
• Schools Financial Value Standard (SFVS)
• pay policy and pay panels.

We will be joined by colleagues in Schools Financial Services, HR Connect and in the afternoon the Head of PRU, Inclusion & Attendance Service (PIAS) at KCC will be discussing the local context around attendance.

We will finish with our national keynote speaker, Jean Gross CBE. Jean has been a teacher, an educational psychologist, head of children’s services in a local authority, and a Visiting and Associate Fellow at three universities. Jean has also written a book called the Unseen Children and delivered keynotes on the attendance crisis.
