Brief Overview

Planning for and supporting children who struggle with their emotions and regulating their behaviour can be a most rewarding experience; it also be difficult to know which strategies to use and how to prevent, react and respond to challenging behaviour. With varying needs to manage within your class, how do you ensure that children with social and emotional needs are effectively supported?

This session is for class teachers and teaching assistants. It aims to explore just that, from looking at how adult behaviour can help and hinder how children behave to discussing which strategies can be useful when celebrating positive behaviour and supporting negative behaviour.
