The Early Years and Childcare Service is delivering a briefing session to schools identified, through the 2023 Autumn Wraparound Audit, as not having access to a formal Breakfast and/or Afterschool Club, either on site or offsite, for children attending the school.
The briefing session will give an overview of the role of schools in supporting parents to access wraparound childcare, advising on how to deliver new or expanded wraparound childcare, whether delivered directly by the school or an external provider. The briefing session will also include an update on how to access government capital and programme funding to support the set up of provision.
Please note this briefing is for schools who have received an invitation from the Sufficiency and Sustainability Team only.
There will be further briefings provided in the summer, with an update on the Wraparound Programme. If you have not been invited, but since the completion of the wraparound audit feel that your circumstances have changed, and your pupils no longer have access to a Breakfast Club and/or Afterschool Club, please contact: [email protected].
