Brief Overview

Planning for and supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH )needs can be both rewarding and challenging. Strategies that are effective for one child, will not nessarily work for another. Positive, inclusive whole class practice has the greatest impact on pupils feeling supported and making good progress.

This course aims to explore whole class strategies along with more tailored interventions. 

Learning Outcomes

  • To build on knowledge and understanding of what effective strategies can be used to support children with SEMH need.
  • Reflect on and discuss current good practice in school.
