This project, for English Subject Leaders in the primary school, aims to improve whole-school teaching and learning of reading by improving teacher and teaching assistant subject and pedagogic knowledge, combined with a focus on pupils in KS1 and KS2 at risk of underachievement. Delegates will be able to determine whether or not their whole school's reading provision meets the requirements of effective practice, and be given a wealth of auditing resources to help them in this task.
