Brief Overview

Working with other adults in the classroom can be a challenging task, especially when you're new to teaching and dealing with a large group of pupils and a very experienced teaching assistant (TA). Join us for some strategies to help you build relationships with other adults in the classroom to maximise the impact of your lessons and provide the best possible learning environment for your pupils. The session will explore how TAs and LSAs (Learning Support Assistants) can support teaching and learning, classroom management, and assessment using a range of different strategies.

The session is for Primary and Secondary Teachers in the early stages of their career. Specifically - ECTs and teachers up to 5 years from completing induction.

Learning Outcomes

  • To explore the value that TAs and LSAs can add to the classroom.
  • To provide strategies that support effective collaboration.
  • To support TAs and LSAs to use high quality inclusive teaching methods with your pupils.
